Lean Turkey Burgers

Makes 12 large patties


  • 3 lbs very lean ground turkey meat
  • 3 tbsp honey dijon mustard
  • 5 cups sauteed spinach
  • 1 red onion (chopped)
  • 3 tbsp minced garlic
  • Dash of black pepper


  1. Place the turkey meat into a large mixing bowl.
  2. Chop the red onion into fine small pieces and add to the mixing bowl.
  3. Then add the mustard and the garlic.
  4. With your hands (wash them first!) mix all the ingredients together until well mixed. Form into patties.
  5. Place on a medium heat pan.  Cook both sides until well cooked (not pink).

    This recipe calls for 5 cups of sautéed spinach but the instructions don’t say when to add this to the rest of the mix
