Mongolian Broccoli and Beef:

1 serving of sliced beef

1 head of broccoli, cut into florets

1/2 cup low sodium broth or water
1 T. Bragg’s Apple cider vinegar
2 T. lemon juice
1 drop orange valencia stevia (optional)

1 drop liquid stevia

2 T. Bragg’s liquid aminos

2 garlic cloves, crushed and minced

1/4 tsp. chili powder

1 T. green onions or chives
salt and pepper, to taste

Combine spices with broth or water in a pan. In frying pan or wok, add beef on high heat to combine flavors and cook beef with the broccoli. Add additional water if necessary to keep the dish from burning. Add stevia for added sweetness.

-Makes 1 serving (1 protein; 1 vegetable)
Cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower and radishes are great for your diet–thanks to their high levels of the compound sulforaphane. Pair it with lean steak to increase your absorption of protein, iron and selenium.
